Forest County has an interesting history with the migration of settlers and loggers and fascinating Native American culture. Learn about the life of a lumberjack at the Logging Museum and visit Camp Five, once a logging camp and now on the National Register of Historic Places. Participate in many fun and educational activities, such as a ride on the Lumberjack Special, a 1916 Vulcan “4 spot” steam locomotive originally used to haul logs to the Camp Five farm.  

Discover Native American culture at the “People of the Three Fires”, a permanent exhibition at the Potawatomi Cultural Center and Museum.
